श्लोक क्र. १०१ ते ११० (गायिका--परिज्ञा)
॥ विनियोगः ॥
अस्य श्री-आदित्यहृदयस्तोत्रमन्त्रस्य अगस्त्य ऋषिः, अनुष्टुप् छन्दः, आदित्यहृदयभूतो भगवान् ब्रह्मा देवता, निरतिशयजयसिद्धयर्थे जपे विनियोगः।
या स्तोत्राचे ऋषी अगस्ती आहेत, छंद अनुष्टुप आहे आणि देवता आदित्यहृदय-स्वरूप भगवान ब्रह्मा आहेत. पूर्ण विजयासाठी याचा विनियोग केला जातो.
Of this Aditya-Hridayam mantra, Sage Agastya is the Seer, Anushtubh is the Meter, and the Deity is Lord Brahma (as the heart of the Sun). It is recited for attaining absolute victory.
।। स्तोत्रम्।।
समरे चिन्तया स्थितम्।
रावणञ्चाग्रतो दृष्ट्वा
युद्धाय समुपस्थितम् ॥१॥
युद्धाने थकलेल्या आणि चिंतेत असलेल्या रामासमोर रावण युद्धासाठी सज्ज होऊन उभा ठाकला होता.
Rama, exhausted by the battle and standing in deep thought, saw Ravana ready for combat.
द्रष्टुमभ्यागतो रणम्।
उपागम्याब्रवीद्रामम्
अगस्त्यो भगवान् ऋषिः ॥२॥
तेव्हा देवांसोबत युद्ध पाहण्यासाठी आलेले भगवान अगस्ती ऋषी रामाजवळ आले आणि म्हणाले:
Sage Agastya, who had come with the Gods to see the battle, approached Rama and said--
शृणु गुह्यं सनातनम्।
येन सर्वानरीन् वत्स
समरे विजयिष्यसि ॥३॥
हे महाबाहो रामा, हे सनातन गुह्य ऐक, ज्याच्या जोरावर तू युद्धात सर्व शत्रूंवर विजय मिळवशील.
O Rama, listen to this eternal secret, by which you will conquer all enemies in battle.
सर्वशत्रुविनाशनम्।
जयावहं जपेन्नित्यम्
अक्षय्यं परमं शिवम् ॥४॥
हे 'आदित्यहृदय' अत्यंत पुण्यकारक, सर्व शत्रूंचा नाश करणारे आणि जय देणारे आहे. याचे नित्य पठन अक्षय कल्याणकारी आहे.
This holy Aditya-Hridayam destroys all enemies, brings victory, and is eternal and supremely auspicious.
सर्वपापप्रणाशनम्।
चिन्ताशोकप्रशमनम्
आयुर्वर्धनमुत्तमम् ॥५॥
हे सर्व मंगलांचे मंगल, सर्व पापांचा नाश करणारे, चिंता-शोक दूर करणारे आणि आयुष्य वाढवणारे उत्तम स्तोत्र आहे.
It is the most auspicious, destroyer of all sins, subduer of sorrow, and bestower of long life.
देवासुरनमस्कृतम्।
पूजयस्व विवस्वन्तं
भास्करं भुवनेश्वरम् ॥६॥
किरणांनी युक्त, उगवणाऱ्या, देव-असुरांनी वंदिलेल्या आणि जगाच्या स्वामी अशा सूर्याची तू पूजा कर.
Worship the Sun, the possessor of rays, the rising one, saluted by gods and demons.
तेजस्वी रश्मिभावनः।
एष देवासुरगणान्
हा सूर्य सर्व देवांचे स्वरूप असून तेजस्वी आहे. आपल्या किरणांनी तो सर्व देवसमूहांचे आणि लोकांचे पालन करतो.
He embodies all gods, is self-effulgent, and sustains all the groups of devas and all the worlds with his rays.
शिवः स्कन्दः प्रजापतिः।
महेन्द्रो धनदः काल:
यमः सोमो ह्यपां पतिः ॥८॥
हाच ब्रह्मा, विष्णू, शिव, स्कंद, प्रजापती, इंद्र, कुबेर, काळ, यम, सोम आणि वरुण आहे.
He is Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Skanda, Prajapati, Indra, Kubera, Time, Yama, Moon, and Varuna.
ह्यश्विनौ मरुतो मनुः।
वायुर्वह्निः प्रजाप्राण
ऋतुकर्ता प्रभाकरः ॥९॥
हाच पितर, वसू, साध्य, अश्विनीकुमार, मरुत, मनु, वायू, अग्नी आणि ऋतूंचा निर्माणकर्ता आहे.
He is the Ancestors, Vasus, Sadhyas, Ashvins, Maruts, Manu, Wind, Fire, and the creator of seasons.
खगः पूषा गभस्तिमान्।
सुवर्णसदृशो भानु:
हिरण्यरेता दिवाकरः ॥१०॥
हा आदित्य, सविता, सूर्य, आकाशात विहरणारा, पोषण करणारा, प्रकाशमान आणि सुवर्णासारखा झळाळणारा आहे.
He is the son of Aditi, the generator, the sun, the bird of the sky, the nourisher, and the golden light.
सप्तसप्तिर्मरीचिमान् ।
तिमिरोन्मथन: शम्भु:
त्वष्टा मार्तण्ड अंशुमान् ॥११।।
ज्याचे घोडे पिवळसर रंगाचे आहेत, ज्याला हजारो किरणे आहेत, ज्याच्या रथाला सात घोडे आहेत, जो किरणांनी युक्त आहे, अंधाराचा नाश करणारा, सुख देणारा, विश्वाचा निर्माता, जगाला जीवन देणारा आणि प्रकाशमान असलेल्या सूर्याला नमस्कार.
He who has yellowish-green horses, thousands of rays, seven horses to his chariot, and is full of radiance. He is the destroyer of darkness, the bringer of happiness, the divine architect, the one who gives life to the world, and is filled with light.
तपनोऽहस्करो रवि: ।
अग्निगर्भोऽदिते: पुत्रः
शंखः शिशिरनाशन: ॥ १२।।
जो सुवर्णमय तेजाचा उगम (हिरण्यगर्भ) आहे, जो उष्णता शांत करणारा (थंड), तपणारा, दिवस निर्माण करणारा आणि स्तुतीस पात्र आहे. ज्याच्या उदरात अग्नी आहे, जो अदितीचा पुत्र आणि थंडीचा नाश करणारा आहे, त्याला नमस्कार.
The golden source of brilliance, the one who is cool to the afflicted, the heater, the maker of the day, and the one praised by all. He who carries fire within, the son of Aditi, and the destroyer of frost and cold.
ऋग्यजु:सामपारग: ।
घनवृष्टिरपां मित्र:
विन्ध्यवीथीप्लवङ्गमः ॥१३।।
आकाशाचा स्वामी, अंधाराचा भेद करणारा, तिन्ही वेदांचे (ऋग्वेद, यजुर्वेद, सामवेद) ज्ञान असलेला, भरपूर पाऊस पाडणारा, जलाचा मित्र आणि विंध्य पर्वताच्या मार्गावरून वेगाने जाणारा.
The Lord of the sky, the piercer of darkness, the master of the three Vedas (Rig, Yajur, and Sama). The sender of heavy rains, the friend of water, and the one who traverses the path of the Vindhya mountains with great speed.
पिङ्गल: सर्वतापन:।
कविर्विश्वो महातेजा:
रक्त: सर्वभवोद्भव: ॥१४।।
प्रखर ऊन देणारा, गोलाकार मंडल असलेला, शत्रूंचा मृत्यू स्वरूप, पिवळसर-तांबूस रंगाचा आणि सर्वांना ताप देणारा. जो सर्वज्ञ (कवि), विश्वरूप, महातेजस्वी, रंगाने लाल आणि सर्व सृष्टीच्या उत्पत्तीचे कारण आहे.
The one who gives intense heat, who is circular in form, the death of enemies, golden-brown, and the heater of all. He is the omniscient poet, the universal form, immensely radiant, reddish in hue, and the source of all existence.
अधिपो विश्वभावन: ।
तेजसामपि तेजस्वी
द्वादशात्मन् नमोऽस्तु ते ॥१५।।
नक्षत्रे, ग्रह आणि ताऱ्यांचा स्वामी, जगाचे कल्याण करणारा, तेजांमध्येही सर्वात तेजस्वी आणि बारा रूपांत (बारा महिने) प्रकट होणाऱ्या हे सूर्या, तुला नमस्कार असो.
The Lord of constellations, planets, and stars, the nourisher of the world, and the brightest among all lights. Salutations to You, who manifests in twelve forms (the twelve months).
पश्चिमायाद्रये नम: ।
ज्योतिर्गणानां पतये
दिनाधिपतये नम: ॥१६।।
पूर्वेकडील उदयगिरी पर्वताला नमस्कार आणि पश्चिमेकडील मावळतीचा डोंगर अस्ताचलाला नमस्कार. सर्व ज्योतिर्गणांच्या (नक्षत्रांच्या) पतीला आणि दिवसाच्या स्वामीला नमस्कार असो.
Salutations to the eastern mountain of sunrise and salutations to the western mountain of sunset. Salutations to the Lord of the celestial bodies and the Lord of the day.
हर्यश्वाय नमो नम: ।
नमो नम: सहस्त्रांशो
आदित्याय नमो नम: ॥१७।।
विजय मिळवून देणाऱ्या, विजयाचे कल्याण करणाऱ्या आणि हिरवे (किंवा पिवळसर) घोडे असलेल्या सूर्याला वारंवार नमस्कार. हजारो किरणे असणाऱ्या आदितीपुत्राला वारंवार नमस्कार असो.
Salutations to the victor, to the one who grants the blessing of victory, and to Him who has green horses. Salutations again and again to the thousand-rayed son of Aditi.
सारङ्गाय नमो नम: ।
नम: पद्मप्रबोधाय
प्रचण्डाय नमोऽस्तु ते ॥१८।।
उग्र रूप धारण करणाऱ्या, पराक्रमी आणि शीघ्र गती असणाऱ्याला वारंवार नमस्कार. कमळ उमलवणाऱ्या आणि अत्यंत प्रखर तेज असलेल्या तुला नमस्कार असो.
Salutations to the fierce one, to the hero, and to the one who travels swiftly. Salutations to the one who awakens the lotus and to Him who is intensely powerful.
सूर्यायादित्यवर्चसे ।
भास्वते सर्वभक्षाय
रौद्राय वपुषे नम: ॥१९।।
ब्रह्मा, शिव आणि विष्णू यांचे स्वामी असलेल्या, सूर्याप्रमाणे तेज असलेल्या, प्रकाशमान, सर्व काही भक्षण करणाऱ्या आणि रुद्ररूप धारण करणाऱ्या सूर्याला नमस्कार असो.
Salutations to the Lord of Brahma, Shiva, and Vishnu, who possesses the radiance of the Sun, the glowing one, the consumer of all, and the one who embodies the fierce form of Rudra.
शत्रुघ्नायामितात्मने ।
कृतघ्नघ्नाय देवाय
ज्योतिषां पतये नम: ॥२०।।
अंधाराचा नाश करणाऱ्या, थंडीचा नाश करणाऱ्या, शत्रूंचा पराभव करणाऱ्या, अपार स्वरूप असलेल्या, कृतघ्न लोकांचा अंत करणाऱ्या आणि ग्रहांच्या स्वामीला नमस्कार असो.
Salutations to the destroyer of darkness, the vanquisher of cold, the conqueror of enemies, the one with infinite self, the punisher of the ungrateful, and the Lord of all celestial bodies.
हरये विश्वकर्मणे ।
नमस्तमोऽभिनिघ्नाय
रुचये लोकसाक्षिणे ॥२१।।
तापलेल्या सोन्यासारखी कांती असलेल्या, अज्ञानाचा नाश करणाऱ्या आणि विश्वाचे सर्व कार्य करणाऱ्या सूर्याला नमस्कार. जो अंधाराचा नाश करतो, जो स्वतः प्रकाशरूप आहे आणि जो जगाच्या सर्व कर्मांचा साक्षीदार आहे, त्याला नमस्कार असो.
Salutations to Him who shines like molten gold, the remover of ignorance, and the architect of the universe. Salutations to the destroyer of darkness, the radiant one, and the witness of all worldly actions.
तमेष सृजति प्रभु: ।
पायत्येष तपत्येष:
वर्षत्येष गभस्तिभि: ॥२२।।
हा प्रभु सर्व प्राण्यांचा नाश करतो आणि तोच पुन्हा त्यांची निर्मिती करतो. हा आपल्या किरणांनी पाणी शोषून घेतो, उष्णता देतो आणि पाऊसही पाडतो.
This Lord indeed destroys all beings and creates them again. He dries up the water with his rays, gives heat, and causes the rain to fall.
भूतेषु परिनिष्ठित: ।
एष चैवाग्निहोत्रं च
फलं चैवाग्निहोत्रिणाम् ॥२३।।
सर्व प्राणी झोपलेले असताना हा त्यांच्यामध्ये प्राण रूपाने जागा असतो. हाच अग्निहोत्र यज्ञ आहे आणि यज्ञ करणाऱ्यांना मिळणारे फळही हाच आहे.
He remains awake within all beings even when they are asleep. He is the sacrificial fire and the fruit obtained by those who perform the sacrifice.
क्रतूनां फलमेव च ।
यानि कृत्यानि लोकेषु
सर्व एष रवि: प्रभु: ॥२४।।
सर्व वेद, सर्व यज्ञ आणि यज्ञांची फळे हा सूर्यच आहे. जगामध्ये जी काही शुभ कार्ये केली जातात, त्या सर्वांचा हाच सर्वश्रेष्ठ स्वामी आहे.
The Gods, the sacrifices, and the fruits of those sacrifices are all Him. In all the worlds, whatever actions are performed, He is the supreme Lord of them all.
।। फलश्रुति:।।
कान्तारेषु भयेषु च ।
कीर्तयन् पुरुष: कश्चित्
नावसीदति राघव ॥२५।।
हे राघवा, संकटात, कठीण परिस्थितीत, भयाण वनात किंवा भीतीदायक प्रसंगी जो कोणी मनुष्य या स्तोत्राचे पठण करतो, तो कधीही खचत नाही किंवा दुःखी होत नाही.
Sage Agastya says: O Raghava, any person who chants this in times of danger, difficulty, in wilderness, or in fear, shall never come to grief or face failure.
देवदेवं जगत्पतिम्।
एतत्त्रिगुणितं जप्त्वा
युद्धेषु विजयिष्यसि ॥२६।।
त्यामुळे तू एकाग्र चित्ताने या देवाधिदेव जगत्पती सूर्याची पूजा कर. या स्तोत्राचा तीनदा जप केल्यास तू युद्धात विजय मिळवशील.
Therefore, worship this Lord of the universe, the God of Gods, with a concentrated mind. By chanting this three times, you will emerge victorious in battles.
रावणं त्वं जहिष्यसि ।
एवमुक्त्वा ततोऽगस्त्य:
जगाम स यथागतम् ॥२७।।
हे महाबाहो (रामा), याच क्षणी तू रावणाचा वध करशील. असे बोलून अगस्ती ऋषी जसे आले होते, तसे निघून गेले.
"O mighty-armed one, you shall slay Ravana this very moment." Having said this, Sage Agastya then left the way he had come.
नष्टशोकोऽभवत् तदा ॥
धारयामास सुप्रीत:
राघव: प्रयतात्मवान् ॥२८।।
अगस्ती ऋषींचे हे शब्द ऐकून महातेजस्वी श्रीरामांची चिंता (शोक) दूर झाली. त्यांनी अत्यंत प्रसन्न होऊन शुद्ध अंतःकरणाने हे स्तोत्र ग्रहण केले.
Upon hearing this, the immensely radiant Raghava became free from sorrow. With a disciplined mind and great joy, he took this hymn to heart.
परं हर्षमवाप्तवान् ।
त्रिराचम्य शुचिर्भूत्वा
धनुरादाय वीर्यवान् ॥२९।।
सूर्याकडे पाहून या स्तोत्राचा जप केल्यावर त्यांना परम आनंद झाला. त्यानंतर तीनदा आचमन करून शुद्ध झाल्यावर त्या पराक्रमी रामाने आपले धनुष्य हाती घेतले.
Gazing at the Sun and chanting this, he attained supreme joy. After performing Achamana (sipping water) thrice and becoming pure, the valiant hero took up his bow.
जयार्थं समुपागतम् ।
सर्वयत्नेन महता
वृतस्तस्य वधेऽभवत् ॥३०।।
रावणाला युद्धासाठी समोर आलेले पाहून श्रीराम प्रसन्न झाले आणि त्यांनी पूर्ण शक्तीनिशी रावणाचा वध करण्याचा निश्चय केला.
Seeing Ravana coming forward for battle, Rama was delighted at heart and became determined to slay him with his utmost effort.
मुदितमना: परमं प्रहृष्यमाण: ।
निशिचरपतिसंक्षयं विदित्वा
सुरगणमध्यगतो वचस्त्वरेति ॥३१।।
त्यानंतर, देवांच्या समुदायात उपस्थित असलेल्या सूर्याने, राक्षसांचा राजा रावणाच्या विनाशाची वेळ जवळ आली आहे हे जाणून, अत्यंत प्रसन्न आणि हर्षभरीत मनाने श्रीरामांकडे पाहिले आणि "त्वरा करा" (लवकर वध करा) असे वचन उच्चारले.
Then, the Sun, standing in the midst of the assembly of Gods, looking at Rama with a delighted heart and knowing that the end of the king of demons (Ravana) was near, said, "Hurry up!"
इति श्रीवाल्मीकीये रामायणे युद्धकाण्डे अगस्त्यप्रोक्तमादित्यहृदयस्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम् ।
अशा प्रकारे वाल्मीकी रामायणातील युद्धकांडात अगस्ती ऋषींनी सांगितलेले 'आदित्यहृदयम्' स्तोत्र येथे संपूर्ण झाले.
Thus ends the 'Aditya Hridayam' as taught by Sage Agastya, occurring in the Yuddha Kanda of the Valmiki Ramayana.
